The Dane County Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) is a voluntary, community-based program that supports individuals living with mental health and/or substance use concerns. Funded by the State of Wisconsin and operated by the Dane County Department of Human Services, the CCS program is designed to help participants build stability, increase independence, and move forward in their recovery journey.
Through CCS, individuals have access to a wide range of psychosocial rehabilitation services that are flexible, individualized, and centered around what matters most to them.
**We will be able to accept referrals for CCS services on June 1st, 2025. Please complete a referral for services to be added to the waitlist. For updates on the waitlist, please contact us directly via phone or email**
At New Growth, we believe that growth takes root when people are met with compassion, consistency, and support that truly fits their needs. Under the CCS service array, New Growth offers:
Individual Therapy (Psychotherapy)
Therapy at New Growth isn’t about fixing what’s “broken”—it’s about creating space to be seen, understood, and supported as you navigate life’s complexities. These sessions offer a collaborative, nonjudgmental place to slow down, explore what’s showing up for you, and build insight that fosters meaningful change.
We support clients with a wide range of mental health concerns, including:
Grief and loss
Life transitions and adjustment
Anxiety and worry
Depression and low mood
Issues of personal identity and self-worth
Attachment wounds and relational trauma
Shame and guilt
Emotional overwhelm
Boundary difficulties
Burnout and compassion fatigue
Stress-related physical symptoms
Parenting and caregiving stress
Chronic self-criticism or inner conflict
Therapy is always tailored to the individual and integrates evidence-based and experiential approaches. Jillian is trained in multiple modalities and works from an IFS-informed lens, meaning she helps clients explore their internal world with curiosity, compassion, and respect for the different parts of themselves. Additional influences include narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy, emotion-focused individual therapy, and positive psychology.
Whether you’re navigating a specific struggle or just feel stuck, therapy at New Growth offers a grounded place to reconnect with yourself, rewrite old stories, and grow in the direction that feels most authentic to you.
Individual Skill Development & Enhancement
While therapy focuses on exploring emotions, patterns, and the deeper roots of experience, Individual Skill Development & Enhancement is about building practical tools for daily life. These sessions are action-oriented and centered around developing specific, functional skills that support mental and emotional wellness.
This might include:
Creating sustainable routines to support structure and well-being
Practicing somatic tools for emotional regulation
Strengthening organization and planning skills
Building strategies to manage transitions, overwhelm, or sensory needs
Developing scripts for communication or boundary-setting
Reinforcing coping skills through repetition, modeling, and real-time feedback
Skill development is tailored to the individual—it’s not a one-size-fits-all checklist. Whether we’re helping a child learn how to follow multi-step instructions or an adult create a calm morning routine that sets the tone for their day, our focus is on making life feel a little more manageable, one skill at a time.
Individual and/or Family Psychoeducation
Understanding ourselves—and each other—can be one of the most powerful tools for change. Psychoeducation at New Growth is more than just sharing information; it’s about offering clarity, insight, and practical tools that help individuals, couples, and families move through challenges with greater confidence and connection.
This service includes:
Couples Support focused on communication, emotional attunement, and repairing relational patterns
Family Work to strengthen understanding across generations, improve dynamics, and reduce conflict
Behavioral Assessment & Intervention for children, including identification of target behaviors, implementation of behavior plans, and caregiver coaching
Parent/Caregiver Guidance for those navigating parenting stress, behavioral concerns, or the impact of mental health challenges within the home
Education around emotions, coping, attachment, and patterns of behavior—tailored to meet clients where they are
Sessions may include visual tools, handouts, or behavior support systems designed to promote consistency and understanding outside of session. Whether we’re working with a couple rebuilding trust or a family navigating a child’s behavioral needs, the goal is the same: to increase insight, improve functioning, and build stronger, more compassionate relationships.
