The Dane County Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) is a voluntary, community-based program that supports individuals living with mental health and/or substance use concerns. Funded by the State of Wisconsin and operated by the Dane County Department of Human Services, the CCS program is designed to help participants build stability, increase independence, and move forward in their recovery journey.
Through CCS, individuals have access to a wide range of psychosocial rehabilitation services that are flexible, individualized, and centered around what matters most to them.
Grounded in a belief that growth takes root when people are met with compassion, consistency, and support that truly fits their needs, True Growth offers the following services under the CCS Service Array:
Individual Therapy (Psychotherapy)
Therapy at True Growth isn’t about fixing what’s “broken”—it’s about creating space to be seen, understood, and supported as you navigate life’s complexities. Sessions offer a collaborative, nonjudgmental place to slow down, explore what’s showing up for you, and build insight that fosters meaningful change. Therapy is always tailored to the individual and integrates evidence-based and experiential approaches. Jillian is trained in multiple approaches, modalities, and techniques. She primarily works from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed lens, meaning she helps clients explore their internal world with curiosity, compassion, and respect for the different parts of themselves. Additional influences include Narrative Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry, Emotion-focused Individual Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Hypnotherapy/Guided Imagery, and Positive Psychology.
Jillian is a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, allowing her to provide unique grief therapy to individuals experiencing the complexities that often walk alongside grief and bereavement. Whether you’re navigating a specific struggle or just feel stuck, therapy at True Growth offers a grounded place to reconnect with yourself, rewrite old stories, and grow in the direction that feels most authentic to you.
Individual Skill Development & Enhancement
While therapy focuses on exploring emotions, patterns, and the deeper roots of experience, Individual Skill Development & Enhancement is about building practical tools for daily life. These sessions are action-oriented and centered around developing specific, functional skills that support mental and emotional wellness.
This might include:
Practicing somatic tools for emotional regulation
Strengthening organization and planning skills
Developing scripts for communication or boundary-setting
Reinforcing coping skills through repetition, modeling, and real-time feedback
Skill development is tailored to the individual. Whether we’re helping a child learn how to follow multi-step instructions or an adult create a calm morning routine that sets the tone for their day, our focus is on making life feel a little more manageable, one skill at a time.
Individual and/or Family Psychoeducation
Psychoeducation at True Growth is more than just sharing information; it’s about offering clarity, insight, and practical tools that help individuals, couples, and families move through challenges with greater confidence and connection. We offer two specific services under the IFPE service array:
Behavior Intervention & Modification: This is not your typical behavior intervention service—and that’s intentional. The Behavior Modification Program at True Growth Counseling & Consulting is a uniquely designed, research-backed approach rooted in real results and decades of combined clinical and field experience. This is not a “carwash” service—meaning children are not dropped off and picked up later with shiny new behavior. True behavioral change happens over time, and it starts at home—with the adults guiding the way.
This service is not provided directly to the child, but is delivered in partnership with the parent or caregiver. It begins with a comprehensive intake to gather background information and understand the dynamics behind the behavior. An observation of the child may follow, but this is strictly for assessment—no intervention is provided directly to the child. After observation, a tailored behavior plan is developed with the parent/caregiver that identifies two specific target behaviors, clearly defined and framed in developmentally appropriate language. This plan becomes the roadmap for the work ahead.
Parents/caregivers then engage in weekly sessions where they are guided through implementing the plan with consistency, support, and accountability. Strategies are simple, doable, and built around positive reinforcement. Consistent attendance at sessions is essential for programatic success.
This program has been built independently by Jillian based on her unique foundational training and hands-on experience at a therapeutic behavior modification summer program where children lived on-site for intensive support. Drawing from those proven methods, she has adapted the core structure into a practical, outpatient model that fits into everyday family life—without compromising on effectiveness.
If you’re looking for a behavior intervention that’s collaborative, structured, and deeply respectful of both children and caregivers, this is it.
Couples/Family Work: Understanding ourselves—and each other—can be one of the most powerful tools for growth. All relationships are living, breathing ecosystems—impacted by communication patterns, past experiences, unspoken expectations, and the ways each person has learned to navigate love, conflict, and vulnerability.
In couples and family work at True Growth Counseling & Consulting, the focus is on supporting the relationship itself as the client. Sessions are structured to help each person show up with greater clarity and compassion, with the goal of fostering mutual understanding, not assigning blame. This work asks people to slow down, listen with intention, and begin to see the people they love through a fuller lens—one that includes context, tenderness, and accountability without inviting shame.
Healing happens when empathy enters the room—not as an excuse, but as a bridge. Relationships can continue, shift, or rebuild when they are mutually healthy for all involved. The goal isn’t to stay in a relationship at all costs—it’s to create space where truth can be spoken, needs can be heard, and each person has the opportunity to grow, together or apart.
This work is for couples, families, or any relational system seeking more connection, insight, and possibility.
