Our diagnostic evaluations begin with a comprehensive clinical interview, where we take the time to explore your presenting concerns, symptoms, life experiences, and relevant history. This process helps us understand not just the challenges you're facing, but the context in which they exist—because every story is unique.
When appropriate, we may also incorporate standardized psychometric tools into the evaluation process. These might include instruments such as the BASC-3, Brief Symptom Inventory, Social Responsiveness Scale, or others that our providers are trained and qualified to administer and interpret. These tools offer additional insight and help paint a clearer, more complete picture of your mental health.
We may also request to review relevant records—such as medical, educational, or prior treatment documentation—to further inform our understanding and ensure accuracy.
While we use the DSM-5-TR to inform diagnostic decisions, we view a diagnostic code as just one piece of the larger puzzle. Our primary goal is to understand how your experiences shape the way symptoms appear and impact your daily life. This deeper clarity is what allows us to offer meaningful insights and personalized guidance.
Following your evaluation, you’ll receive a detailed report summarizing our findings. If a diagnosis is applicable, it will be included along with tailored recommendations for ongoing treatment—aligned with your personal goals and what you hope to achieve moving forward.
We currently offer diagnostic evaluations for individuals ages 6 and older.
